Lessons in Theology
This study is an effort to apply Scripture systematically to various spheres of faith and life. The word theology means God’s word; it begins with the presupposition that Scripture is the word of God, and the duty of the theologian is to understand it and to apply it to every area of life and thought. Theology belongs in the pulpit, the school, the workplace, the family, and everywhere. Society as a whole is weakened when theology is neglected or approached with a smorgasbord mentality, picking and choosing that which pleases them. It begins with the presupposition that Scripture is the word of God. Without a systematic application of theology we end up, in the name of Christianity, interpretations of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit which are alien to Scripture.
Hebrews, James, and Jude
Lessons in Epistles
Hebrews, when it was written, was a summons to break with Judaism, and to serve Christ the Redeemer-King fully and faithfully, without compromise. In our day, it means to break with the prevailing culture of humanistic statism and those wayward churches that have made themselves the handmaidens to Christ’s enemies.
